The hostel building at Vadodara was intended to achieve a pre-certified rating of ‘Gold’ in green buildings category as per IGBC norms. Simulation studies were carried out to check energy performance. The client benefitted greatly in aspects of material selection, specially fa?ade glass, windows, outer elevation. Local landscape techniques and species were suggested to suit the site conditions. The project being of national importance, specific inputs were given to adhere to green building norms, without escalation in total project cost. Green norms and simulation studies assisted the client in design modifications too.

The Eco Resort at Pavagadh, Dev Dam, was rated as ‘Platinum” for IGBC rating systems. Set ion a beautiful hill, the resort had all ideal features of an eco-sensitive resort. It produced its own energy, had retained all existing trees and water bodies of the site and moreover recycled all its waste water. The role of green consultants was simplified due to the eco-friendly vision of the developers. The resort offered eco adventure sports, swimming, go-carting, which added to the theme of the place. The input of green rating enhanced the brand image of the resort.
